About

Cooper was established in 1894 by the engineer and inventor Thomas Cooper in Norfolk, England, where the company is still based. He designed the split roller bearing in 1907, and in the second half of the 20th century the company concentrated on that product.

The registered company is Cooper Roller Bearings Company Limited (England No. 1643976). According to the site, Kaydon Corporation became the parent company in 1991. The website still carries SKF Cooper branding; the business is listed in this directory as part of Timken.
