SKF

SKF is a Swedish group founded in 1907. It describes its purpose as reducing friction: its bearings, seals and lubrication systems are used wherever there is rotation, supported by condition monitoring and maintenance services.

The group states that it is represented in around 130 countries, with more than 38 000 employees and 17 000 distributor locations worldwide.

The marine business supports ship operators with products and services for the shaft line and other rotating equipment, from electric pods to rudder bearings, and maintains a worldwide sales and service network. Its marine product names include Simplex, Turbulo, Cooper and Vibracon.
