Design, manufacture, repair and upgrade of white metal (babbitt) bearings, tilting pad bearings and seals using the patented 100BOND white metal laser technology.
Description
Wärtsilä The Bearing Centre provides end-to-end lifecycle support for white metal bearings and pads – design, manufacturing, repair and upgrades – using the patented 100BOND® white metal laser technology, which improves fatigue resistance and temperature transmission to extend bearing life. Wärtsilä has more than 50 years of experience in this field.

- Fixed geometry bearings with customisable stiffness and damping, various bore configurations and thrust surface options
- Tilting pad journal bearings for high-speed, high-load turbomachinery, with various pivot types and one-piece or split housings
- Tilting pad thrust bearings for high sliding speeds and continuous heavy loads
- Seals: labyrinth seals and compliant sealing systems for air, steam or gas applications

- Contract manufacturing: build to drawing or specification, inventory programmes, emergency services
- Repair: babbitt bearing repair, inspection, refurbishment, welding and machining, coating, engineering upgrades

ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001; DNV-certified ISO 14067 carbon footprint verification showing the 100BOND® babbitting process has a 70.4% lower carbon footprint than the standard casting-based process.
