Description
The Startwell Midi is a mechanical starter for diesel engines from 1.1 to 6.6 litres, available in clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation. Released in June 1993, it was Startwell's original starter.

- Two-piece mounting bracket: the starter can be converted to another engine model by replacing only the mounting flange
- Radial securing screws for a more compact unit and easier installation
- Requires no external electric, hydraulic or pneumatic energy
Clockwise and anti-clockwise versions
Anti-clockwise models allow a mechanical backup starter to be fitted where engines, notably lifeboat engines, have a second starter pocket on the flywheel housing.
