HS Marine Propellers

Work boat propeller lineup (D-Style, Advantage, WorkWheel, Kaplan, SuperCrew, N.A.P.) in 3–5 blade configurations up to 150 in, in bronze, Ni-Al-Br or CF-3 stainless steel, for towboats, tugs, OSVs, crew and fishing boats.

Description

HS Marine Propulsion offers a range of **work boat propellers**, each designed for a specific vessel type and duty. All are available in Bronze, Ni-Al-Br and CF-3 stainless steel. ## Propeller models - **D-Style:** for highly loaded, draft-limited vessels such as river towboats and pushboats; minimizes cavitation while maintaining thrust. 4 or 5 blades up to 150"; blade thickness fraction 0.054; standard DAR .82–.89 (4-blade) and .95–1.05 (5-blade); custom configurations available. - **Advantage:** focused on efficiency and vibration mitigation, with optimised pitch distribution and non-linear blade skew for lower hull and shaft-line vibration. 3, 4 or 5 blades up to 150"; DAR .60–1.20; custom DAR/blade width, hub and weights; variable pitch. - **WorkWheel:** high-thrust propeller for displacement vessels under 16 knots (tugs, pushboats, utility vessels); semi-elliptical outline, constant pitch, no skew for strong ahead thrust and backing. Ogival sections with flat pressure faces for easy measurement and repair; robust edges and tip radii. 3, 4 or 5 blades up to 150"; BTF 0.045 (30–50"), 0.048 (51–70"), 0.050 (71"+); DAR <60": .70 (4-blade), .875 (5-blade); DAR >60": .62 (4-blade), .775 (5-blade). - **Kaplan:** for ducted (nozzle) applications; large tip chord delivers more thrust than an open propeller of the same size. For shrimpers, tugs, supply boats and other slow, thrust-focused vessels. 3, 4 or 5 blades up to 150"; standard or skewed; DAR .55 or .70 (4-blade); custom blade widths. - **SuperCrew:** medium-speed propeller for heavy, variable loading (crew boats); thicker blade roots to absorb high horsepower and designed to prevent root cavitation. 3, 4 or 5 blades up to 60"; DAR .62 (3-blade), .83 (4-blade); CNC finish available. - **N.A.P.:** based on the Wageningen B-Series for displacement vessels such as offshore supply vessels, fishing vessels and work boats; thick foil sections, generous hub, up to 10° rake and moderate skew. 3, 4 or 5 blades up to 150"; DAR .60 (4-blade), .75 (5-blade); BTF .048.
