iTOK Highly Flexible Coupling

Highly flexible coupling with extremely low torsional stiffness for flexibly mounted engines, 600 to 60,000 Nm, SAE J 620 flywheel adapters, ATEX certified, radial element replacement.

Description

The iTOK coupling from REICH is a highly flexible coupling designed for applications needing extremely low torsional rigidity, and for compensating the axial and radial displacements of flexibly mounted engines. It connects the engine directly to the driven machine without additional components.

Key features

  • Highly elastic transfer element with high torsional vibration and shock damping
  • Extremely low torsional stiffness allows a supercritical layout; resonance is passed quickly during start and stop
  • Compensates axial, radial and angular misalignment with restoring forces within permissible limits
  • Direct connection to flywheels; radial (dis)assembly of the element on most versions
  • Rigidity adaptable by choice of rubber quality
  • Maintenance-free; smooth, low-noise running

Technical data

  • Torque range: 600 Nm to 60,000 Nm
  • Flywheel adapter dimensions to SAE J 620
  • ATEX certified to Directive 2014/34/EU (categories 2 + 3)

Configurations

  • iTOK…F2K: radial element change without moving coupled machines
  • iTOK…D F2K: two elements in parallel for higher torque in confined spaces
  • iTOK…R TK: two elements in series for higher elasticity
  • Versions with separable flange, spacer ring, adapter and one or two hubs

Applications

Main propulsion drives between diesel engine and gearbox, propeller drives, thrusters, on-board generator sets, pumps, compressors and winches on ships and ferries; also gensets and CHP units.
