BWX Technologies

BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) is a United States nuclear technology company. Its naval nuclear propulsion work dates back to the 1950s, when it designed and fabricated components for USS Nautilus, the first nuclear-powered submarine. According to the company, U.S. Navy submarines and aircraft carriers have steamed millions of miles using components manufactured by BWXT.

Beyond naval propulsion, the group builds systems and supplies components and fuel for nuclear power generation in Canada and other markets, restores the environment at government nuclear sites, produces nuclear medicine and develops reactors and fuels for defense and space applications. Products and services are provided by subsidiaries of BWX Technologies, Inc., among them Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc.
