Description
RulesCalc software training is a three-day hands-on Lloyd's Register course on using RulesCalc to perform the prescriptive scantling checks required by LR's Rules for the Classification of Ships. RulesCalc integrates class rules into the design process so designs can be optimised against rule-required scantlings.

Ship designers, marine consultants, plan approval surveyors and naval architecture students.
Course agenda
- Day 1: RulesCalc overview and startup wizard, ship details, materials and stiffener profiles, loading conditions, transverse section modelling
- Day 2: longitudinal strength, local scantlings of longitudinal structures, buckling, transverse structures
- Day 3: scantlings in aft/fore regions and machinery spaces, optimisation, model comparison, reporting
