Mecc Alte X-Type Medium & High Voltage Alternators

Mecc Alte X-Type 4-pole medium and high voltage brushless synchronous alternators (ECO43 to ECO49), 800–5000 kVA, up to 13.8 kV, class H epoxy/mica insulation.

Description

The Mecc Alte X-Type Series is a range of medium and high voltage brushless synchronous alternators for power generation, built by Mecc Alte Power Products in Vicenza, Italy. The machines have a reinforced mechanical structure, oversized terminal boxes and true Class H+ insulation, and can be customised to the application. Witness testing is available on request.

  • Medium and high voltage up to 13.8 kV
  • Class H insulation based on epoxy resin and mica tapes, VPI process
  • IP23 protection (up to IP45 on request for ECO43–ECO47); IC01 cooling
  • Digital voltage regulator DER2 as standard (other AVRs on request)

Models

  • ECO43: 800–1300 kVA, axle height 400 mm; single bearing SAE flange 1-0-00 with SAE 14-18-21 disc coupling, or double bearing B3B14 SAE 0
  • ECO46: 1300–2500 kVA, axle height 500 mm; single bearing SAE 0-00 with SAE 18-21 disc, or double bearing B3B14 SAE 00
  • ECO47: 2500–4000 kVA, axle height 560 mm; single bearing SAE 00 with SAE 18-21 disc, or double bearing B3B14 SAE 00
  • ECO49: 4000–5000 kVA, axle height 630 mm; double bearing B3B14 SAE 00, single bearing on request

Ratings at 50 Hz, class H, 40°C, PF 0.8, for an 11 kV unit. Mecc Alte also produces synchronous, PMG and asynchronous generators for hydropower.
