Mastervolt Battery Chargers

Mastervolt marine battery charger range (Mass, ChargeMaster Plus, ChargeMaster, PowerCharger, EasyCharge) with 3-step+ charging, power factor correction and lithium-ion compatibility; type approvals incl. DNV GL and Lloyd's.

Description

Mastervolt's battery charger range uses the 3-step+ charging method to charge batteries safely, quickly and completely, even from low-quality or limited shore or generator power. All Mastervolt chargers have power factor correction and built-in auxiliary power that allows them to charge a completely discharged battery (< 8 V).

Product lines

  • Mass (24 V and 48 V): for professional and semi-professional use, with integrated alarm functions and various approvals; one main outlet for optimal charging of a single bank; DNV GL-approved versions available
  • ChargeMaster Plus: combines three battery chargers, a battery isolator and VSR in one unit; charges multiple battery types, sizes and voltages; CZone compatible
  • ChargeMaster (12 V and 24 V): recreational and semi-professional use; detailed display; charges multiple banks simultaneously
  • PowerCharger 12 V: compact marine chargers for up to three banks (12/20-3 and 12/40-3)
  • EasyCharge / EasyCharge Portable: entry level, waterproof epoxy-filled non-corrosive enclosure; portable version for mobile use

Lithium-ion charging

Mastervolt chargers communicate directly with Mastervolt lithium-ion batteries via integrated MasterBus, or are adapted to the required charge voltages.

Approvals

Depending on model: DNV GL, ABYC, RMRS, CE, E-Mark, Lloyd's, UL and RCM.

Sizing guidance

  • Charger voltage must match the battery bank voltage
  • A charge capacity of about 25% of battery capacity is sufficient (e.g. a 50 A charger for a 200 Ah battery); up to 50% for gel and 100% for lithium-ion batteries for faster charging
