Honda Marine on Display at Miami Boat Show

Honda Marine is set to market its complete range of outboard marine four-stroke engines at the 2016 Miami International Boat Show, February 11-15, 2016.

At this year’s show, the Honda Marine team will showcase its four-stroke outboard engine, ranging from 2.3 to 250 horsepower, Honda Marine’s full line of current production models meets California Air Resources Board (CARB) 3-Star standards, ensuring their availability and regulatory compliance in all 50 states, the manufacturer said.

Important Honda Marine show highlights include a spotlight on the company’s newest marine outboard engine, the Honda BF100. Incorporating a host of Honda exclusives and technologically advanced features, the BF100 provides increased value and benefit to consumers who want solid and responsive power and maximum time on the water.

Honda Marine will also showcase the inclusion of the Honda intelligent Shift and Throttle (iST) drive by wire system on the Honda BF200 and BF225 models (previously only a design feature on the BF250). Easy to install, the iST system allows for up to four engines and two control stations, providing effortless control, fine tuning of throttle settings, enhanced docking and slow speed control, user-programmable system defaults and a simple, and easy to understand interface.

Also showcased will be Honda Marine’s expanded commercial and government warranty program for marine engines and related products. The new warranty doubles the current coverage from 12 months to 24 months and includes the rental business. The new warranty for engines purchased by state, local, and federal governments adds an entire year of coverage, expanded from 24 months to 36 months.

Honda Marine will highlight its new OEM agreement with BRIG USA. BRIG Boats is a manufacturer of foldable and rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) for every budget and application, including recreational and professional use.

Honda Marine’s partnership with Metal Shark, a shipyard supplying custom vessels for commercial, defense, and law enforcement applications worldwide, will also be highlighted with Metal Shark boats outfitted with Honda outboards available for in-water testing.
