Finning Power Systems Offers Discounted Engine Overhauls

An overhaul is the best way to extend an investment in a Cat marine engine, as returning the equipment to peak condition will ensure optimal productivity can be achieved.

At the show Finning will also be offering a free oil sampling kit or operation manual for Cat engine operators, as well as the opportunity to receive 20% off Cat parts on orders transacted between May 27 and June 12.

Finning works with boat builders, owners and fleet superintendants, offering a range of Cat, MaK and Perkins marine propulsion solutions, auxiliary engines and packaged generator sets for the fishing sector.  It works with customers in all major ports around the U.K. to engineer the most effective engine solutions based on the requirements for reliability and durability.

Oil analysis
Deteriorating oil condition can be one of the most common problems on marine engines and can usually be traced back to failing seals and bearing damage.  From an oil analysis, information can be gained that can help to keep minor problems from becoming major repairs, with the results allowing vessel owners to forecast equipment wear and manage component life.

As well as cutting the risk of major repair work, oil sampling can also maximise engine efficiency as the optimisation of the fluid life cycle through careful monitoring and the implementation of a contamination control system ensure the system remains clean.

Members of the Finning technical team will be on hand at the show to discuss other current service and maintenance and promotions, as well as providing advice on technical issues.

The Skipper Expo International Aberdeen 2014 will be held in the Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Center on May 30-31.
