About

The company goes back to 1985, when Len Hill purchased the rights to the Jacuzzi thrusters and established North American Marine Jet in Benton, Arkansas. Its TRAKTORJET series became established in market sectors where durability and high thrust are valued.

In 2011 the Australian marine engineering firm Birdon Group purchased the business, after selecting TRAKTORJET as the propulsion solution for its Bridge Erection Boat, and renamed it NAMJet. In 2014 the company was relocated to Denver, Colorado, to join sister company Birdon America.

NAMJet is housed in a 60,000 square foot facility alongside Birdon America boat production and supplies waterjets in standard and fully customised configurations to customers worldwide. Birdon is a family-owned group established in 1977 in Port Macquarie, New South Wales.
