About
Evoy AS is a Norwegian company based in Florø, Vestland, on the west coast of Norway. It was started in 2018 by Leif A. Stavøstrand, a former sea captain and supply base chief executive, together with his father Gunnar, with the stated mission of reducing boating emissions.
The demo boat Evoy1 was christened in the summer of 2019 by Norwegian prime minister Erna Solberg and reached an unofficial record speed of 55 knots that autumn. The first customers received turnkey Evoy systems in 2020.
The company serves leisure boaters and commercial users such as marinas, small ferries, tour operators and aquaculture. Boats powered by Evoy systems include models from Goldfish, Hukkelberg, Axopar, Tideman and Hydrolift.
