Echandia

Echandia is a Swedish supplier of marine battery systems with its global headquarters in Bromma, Stockholm, and a North American office in Marysville, Washington, USA. The systems are designed in Scandinavia and built on LTO cell technology, with fast charging, a compact footprint and minimal degradation as the main design goals.

The company works with shipyards and system integrators to electrify ferries, tugs, naval and transport vessels. In 2026 it launched the Echandia Core system and announced orders for two electric tugs in India, a 78-meter hybrid ferry built by Incat in Tasmania and a new hybrid vessel for Gotlandsbolaget.

The management team is led by Chief Executive Officer Magnus Eriksson, with Mary Pettersson as Chief Finance Officer, Fredrik Hellström as Chief Operating Officer and Jakob Kleflund as Chief Technology Officer.
