Q-SPD 5 Surface Drive
Q-SPD 5 surface drives (QSPD501, QSPD550) for 1,500–2,680 kW per drive, max torque up to 27,000 Nm, 1370 mm max propeller; composite housing, SAF2205 shaft, Nibral rudders.
Description
The Q-SPD 5 is the largest Q-SPD integrated surface drive series, for high-power, high-speed vessels.

- Main propeller shaft: stainless steel SAF2205
- Rudders and tillers: Nibral
- Thrust housing, coupling, fasteners and fittings: stainless steel 316
- Shaft and rudder bearings: water-lubricated polymer
- Main shaft seal: rotary lip seal
- Exhaust diameter: 304 mm (12 in) or 356 mm (14 in)
