About

Benes Marine Technology is based at Van Neckstraat 5 in Hoogezand, the Netherlands. The company describes itself as a partner in shipbuilding and industrial projects, focused on heavy machine works and large constructions.

The business started in 1924, when Jan Benes and his son Jo opened a smithery to produce constructions for the many nearby shipyards. The name changed over time from Benes Smederij to Benes Roer- en Stevenbouw, later Benes Machinefabriek, and today the company operates worldwide as Benes Marine Technology.

A dedicated team handles design, production and mounting of the rudder systems, supported by service engineers who work on site around the world.
