Rotor Renewal for LNG Carrier

Managed by the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI), DFDE-type LNG carrier Aseem was drydocked and repaired at N-KOM this month. The highlight of the repair was the renewal and installation of two AMZ 1120 rotors for the 12,650 KW capacity Main Propulsion motors, done under the supervision of ABB.
“The project management for Aseem has been executed in an excellent manner,” said Shishir Kumar, general manager (technical) for SCI. “The logistics team did a wonderful job and I am very impressed with the yard on the overall.”
