This unit has been used on only 2 projects in recent years, once on a lake project and once on a bridge construction project on the Colorado river, attached to 5' Flexi-Float barges of up to 110' x 60' loaded with cranes, excavators or on supply barges, They allow any barge or marine platform to be very maneuverable without dedicating a pushboat or tugboat to the barge. These have been high utility, high value units on our projects, but we have little opportunity to use them in our market. Both have been in storage in dry, high altitude, low humidity western US and mostly covered over the years. Because they have been sitting in storage for an extended period of time, buyer should be prepared to replace hydraulic cylinders seals before use. Ulstein Marine-Maritime Industries L295-4500 Marine Propulsion unit is a self contained, one piece, deck-mounted propulsion system. The power train consists of an International Harvester six cylinder, four cycle diesel engine mounted on a frame, generating continuous 180 HP at 1800 RPM (2400 maximum intermittent RPM). Engine torque is transmitted through a 73 C Borg-Warner hydraulic clutch, a line shaft and through a belt drive to the stern drive and propeller. Overall reduction of 4.31:1. The design is such that propeller thrust can be changed to any position within a 360 degree circle. The approx. 8' long stern drive assembly configuration allows the drive and propeller to be swung through an arc aft of up to 90 degrees.
