Scandlines Firm on Zero Emissions Ferry Project

Scandlines state they have not abandoned the project despite a contrary press report, and assure that the work with Zero Emission ships is still in progress, informs Denmark Today.

The company say that it is true that with a fixed link to Rødby-Puttgarden it will be difficult to get the project on this route to move up economically, unless the opening of the fixed link across the Fehmarn Belt is postponed at least 10 years.

Nevertheless, Scandlines stresses that they have not abandoned work on the further development of Zero Emission ferries and continue to have a vision of fossil ferry services in the future.
